Industry Placements

A unique part of a T Level is the compulsory industry placement ( around 45 days) 20% of your course. This gives you an invaluable opportunity to put your new knowledge and skills into practice and understand the world of work. Placements differ from traditional work experience as they are significantly longer and you are expected to complete meaningful work for the employer.

The burning question everyone wants to know is.... No, students are not typically paid for their placement. However, if you choose the right employer and add value to their business you may be able to discuss payment, this will be between you and the employer. They do not legally have to pay you. We encourage employers to be fair to you and pay what is affordable for them, even if its just your bus fair!
