Is there any information you need, that is missing?
At the time this website began, there were no providers between Eastbourne and Portsmouth a distance of 80 miles along the south coast offering this qualification.
Why? There are lots of reasons to name but a few; teacher confidence, parent knowledge and political uncertainty. Whilst this uncertainty is happening there is a whole generation of students who are missing out.
The value of studying a course with a current relevant syllabus, compulsory work experience and with so many opportunities afterwards, is huge. So producing this website was in my control and can help raise the awareness of this fantastic qualification.
(This is just my opinion)
I have consciously brought together all of the stakeholders in one place.
There are negatives to this qualification it is not easy and if we want the students to adopt critical thinking it should start here.
I am one person trying to do the right thing for students, lecturers, parents etc.
Forgive the spelling and grammar errors, the missing information. I will get there. I am determined.
I have identified a problem that needs to be solved in an accessible way for everyone.
Wish me luck rather than criticise me.
I know lots but not everything. Who knows what this could grow into. One per T Level maybe, maybe I will get paid ;) At the moment, I am relying on people telling me.. this would be useful to know. And I will add it. We need to create a community, as this will make it much easier for everyone.
Who is accountable for the success of the T Level. Will it succeed. Coming from an employers perspective I think it is progressive, relevant and needed. I do not work for the D of Ed, I am not a decision maker. But I can make a difference, and here it is.
There are so many organisations, individuals and charities that are challenging the existing system. This is not the platform to do it here. But here are some films you can watch and a charity you can have a look at to help in this quest. Transforming education - Big Change (big-change.org)
