It can be quite daunting stepping out of the classroom and straight into a workplace. Your college or school will have resources to help you, such as CV writing, interview practice etc. Unit 7 Business Behaviours is also used to build your confidence in what the office environment expects from you as an employee.

There are lots of websites you can use. Employers are looking for something that stands out from your peers, such as, volunteer work, additional responsibility at school or college, teaching yourself new skills online
Plan your journey in plenty of time, be near the interview location 10 mins early, but wait until the actual time before going in. This site will tell you all the options you have to get there.
Prepare your answers, think about them before the big day. Take some notes and just let the interview know you are going to refer to them.
Research the company & the interviewer
Have a look at their website, google the company to see if they have been in the media. Look at their social media channels. Have a look on linkedin at the person interviewing you - be prepared. Show you care.
What not to wear!
Sportswear is a no no, for an interview. Be comfortable, well groomed and smart. Smart jeans and a top is normally acceptable. Very few businesses would expect you to turn up in a full suit.
Whatever you choose make sure you feel confident in it as this is what you want the interviewer to feel about you.

Be prepared to discuss your learning goals.
You may be asked what do you want to achieve during your time with them. A great opportunity to discuss the six learning goals you have already chosen to focus on.
