So what happens next? Did you know year 1 only accounted for 50% of your overall score. So lets bring on the other 50% in year 2. Everything is about the OS this year and nothing else!

This year you will be completing the Occupational Specialism part of the syllabus, this will be either:

• Business Support

• Team Leadership and Management

• Business Improvement

You will be externally assessed, ie City and Guilds will mark your work and it is similar to the ESP in that it is one large project, with 6 tasks, based on a case study provided by them.  The project is for 32 hours compared to the ESP which was 25 and it will begin March/April.

You will also have to complete any outstanding hours for the industry placement element of the qualification - your target is a total 315 hours across both years. And for those wishing to take re-takes those will be squeezed in too.
