Is there any information you need, that is missing?
Year one can be intense! Different colleges and schools will structure their T Level in different ways. As long as you have completed the following over 2 years you will have a T Level qualification :)
2 exams (30%)
Employer set project (ESP) (20%)
OS (Occupational Specialism) (50%)
Industry placement - compulsory
My experience is limited to splitting the assessment 50:50 across both years (ESP & Exams yr 1 and OS year 2). Others may do the exams in year one but the ESP in year two with the OS.
So assuming the 50:50 structure, the assessment in year one consists of 2 Exams which account for 60% of your year one grade and the Employer Set Project 40%. The work placements are not assessed but must be completed to achieve your T Level.
The areas you will be covering for the exams are listed below as well as more information on the assessments.
These are the text books you need, if you shop around you may be able to get them second hand. If not your college / school will have copies in their library.
City and Guilds are the regulatory body behind this T Level Qualification. They won the tender from the Government Department of Education to roll it out. This is the document produced for the teaching team to show all the information that will be assessed in your exams and in the project.
Pages 45 to 75 highlights the seven core areas mentioned above.
You do not need to read it all, but by the end of the two years you can seek comfort in the fact you will know it all and acquired lots of fabulous new skills!
